A call was made early in the morning, for Anthonys girlfriend to pick him up. Kael, when she got there, seemed really concerned for Anthony, maybe a little over-concerned, considering that he was fine, aside from some scarring on the side of his face. She was being gentle with his feelings, mostly. Even her occasional mean joke here and there were non-existent.
They soon arrived at his house, and Kael sweetly asked, "Anty-Bear, would you like me to stay with you for awhile?"
"Nah, babe, it's fine. I can take care of myself," Anthony replied.
"Okay then, but remember, don't do anything too stressing, like driving,"
"I won't Kael, I promise," Anthony claimed.
"Alright, see ya!" Kael called as she drove away.
Anthony walked into the house, and called out, "Ian! Ian! Oh shit!" Anthony suddenly remembered his friends perdicament in the hospital. He realized that he was so excited about geting out of that shitty hospital, that his best friend completley slipped his mind. "Wow, I am a real douche!" He then realized that he couldn't even leave the house to see him!
Knowing that, his mind trailed off as to how his friend was doing....
Well, the lady said that he wasn't dead, or arrested, so what could he be?
Anthony had no idea, and the suspense was killing him so much, that he risked getting in the car, and driving away.
His driving was shaky, and somewhere deep inside, he knew that this is not what Ian would've wanted him to do, but he was ignoring that little voice, known as the voice of reason.
He eventually made it to the hospital, and walked in. "I'd like to see Ian Hecox please," He said with a sense of urgency in his voice.
"And how, may I ask, do you know this man?" The lady behind the counter asked.
"He's my best friend, for god sakes!" Anthony said, clearly frustrated.
"Friendship isn't enough to get you in, hon. Come back when you've got some real proof," The 'bitch' at the counter said.
"But-"
"Anthony!"
Anthony turned his head to see nothing other, than a tear-stained woman, that he quickly recognized as Ians mom.
"Mrs. Hecox!" Anthony yelled in relief. He said to the 'bitch', "That is my proof,"
"Do you know this man?" The lady asked Mrs.Hecox.
"Yes, and he has every much a right to see Ian as I do," Mrs.Hecox said.
"Okay, go on ahead, room 702. 3rd floor."
"Thanks," He said and hurried to the elevator. Ian's mom joined him, and midway up,he began wondering why she was crying. He gulped silently. He heard the ding of the elevator, and the doors opened. He guessed that he was about to find out....
