Well, he goes into surgery tomorrow. I can put it on an emergency credit card, which will delay the cost somewhat until we find the money. And for those kind people who offered, I would ask not to send me anything, because I'd feel just terrible, but save it for some day when someone you know cannot eat

I understand what you are saying. Kory will be contributing to the stamp out hunger campaign this weekend, anyway. It's one of the reasons we do the angel food - besides the cost savings for us, it keeps the program going for those who are in dire need of it. and we always kick in extra there as well.

But I want to still point out that the offer is there if things get weird. I know what it is to be hit between the eyes by emergency vet bills. And no one should face that kind of decision. Our pets are more than just animals - they are family.
