Times Square is nuts. Period. 24-hour nuts fest. Advertisements EVERYWHERE. So cool at the same time. Right now Aaron and I are about two blocks from Times Square so we've walked around it about 10 times since we landed. We've already acclimated ourselves with the subways and contrary to what you see on TV, they're not scary at all. At least not the ones we went on.
Well once we dumped our stuff off at the hotel we decided to walk about downtown. While trying to find a pizza place in the middle of Manhattan at torrential rainstorm comes out of nowhere. Winds were blowing and people were running for cover. I bought a 5 dollar umbrella from a street vendor. Lightning, pouring rain and soaked shoes aside we eventually found a place to eat. If you've ever saw Making the Band 2 where P.Diddy made the group go buy cheesecake at a place called Junior's and that's where we ate. Great food. I had an open face roast beef sandwich with fries. I ate almost all of it. I also had the strangest pickle ever. I mean it. I bit into it and it tasted salty then spicy. The next bite was a bit sour and as if there was club soda in it. Every bite was different and by the time by food came I gave up on it.
After dinner we met up with Traci and she took us to Grand Central Station, which was absolutely beautiful and then we made our way to the subway to go to little China/little Italy. We took some pictures in little China and had dessert in little Italy. I had a three miniature plate with a kiwi tart, two chocolate sweets and some fancy water. We did some more walking and then made our way back to Times Square. A few more photos later we are back in the hotel and planning tomorrow out. Sweet deal.
