Need some help!

I'm in the market for a new book to read.. if it happened to be part of a series, even better, but I am shooting for it to be fantasy.. or fiction with strong fantasy elements. The last really good book I read along these lines was American Gods.

Thanks.. I hope.

Kushiel's Dart by Jacqueline Carey is beautifully written.

Assassin's Apprentice by Robin Hobb is likewise fascinating, with great characters.

Try The Council War Series by John Ringo, Sci-Fi with very strong fantasy elements. The first book is called, "There will be Dragons"

Ah, a few good ones, senpai...

Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison
Set in an alternative universe where a genetically modified tomato killed off a good chunk of humanity, vampires, witches, faeries, and werewolves have stepped in to keep society running. The main character works as a independent agent that functions as a detective, bodyguard, or whatever else is required by her clientele.

The Devil You Know by Jenna Black
Demons are real and people are very aware of their existence. One major religious faith refers to the demons as "higher powers" and encourages hosting them. The main character is an exorcist who banishes illegal demon possessions and gets caught up in the battle within the royal bloodline for the throne of the demonic realm.

I highly recommend both of them to you, especially Harrison's works (which personally appeal to my tastes as a fan of the World of Darkness). Both are part of a series, so you'll definitely get a good dose of reading material if you decide to pursue either title.
