Been following the protests involving the Olympics a little bit here and there, and sometign jumped out at me enough to make me go.. "what the fuck?!"

I thought I would share with all of you.

Nazi Germany did host the Olympics before the Holocaust. They hosted in 1936. When the Olympics came to town, the Nazis did exactly what China are likely to do now, any and all signs of anti-semitism were removed; German only beaches were opened to the Jews, water fountains were opened to the Jews; Hitler wanted the rest of the world on side so made it seem like nothing was wrong.

Not only does the protester run to the most alarming case they can think of... they're proving themselves to be historically ignorant.

I'm sure their intentions were good, but really... it just looks bad when people can't get basic history straight. This isn't even ancient history.
