i don't understand people sometimes.

do you ever meet or hear of those kinds of people that make you wonder how on earth anyone could ever be friends with them?

and then you find out that they do indeed have friends and yer just so confused 'coz you wonder how any sane person could possibly be friends with them

Yeah, people will talk about their friend cheating on somebody, or doing some equally messed up thing, and it always confuses me a little.. Like dude, how the fuck can you trust them now, knowing that they've done something like that?

In a lot of ways, you're only as good as the kind of people you choose to surround yourself with.

yeah, exactly. and i agree with yer last statement; the types friends that you choose to keep by yer side say a lot about the kind of person that you are.

im kinda used to it. atleast half the girls ive liked over the years that have had boyfreinds...have had ones that are so shitty i dont know how anyone puts up with em let alone dates em. im not exactly perfect...infact ive done lotsa crappy things. but i try n be good overall. i hope im succeeding.

well, i don't think yer out to hurt people on purpose, and from talking to you for a couple years now, you definitely seem to me like yer a good person. i wasn't including accidentally or unintentionally hurting someone in what i said. i don't think yer the type that actually goes out and hurts people because you derive pleasure from doing so.

and yeah, i know what that's like. some of my friends have, in the past, made very questionable relationship choices. :S

Except, I'm nuts and I usually end up trying to befriend the person anyway. Especially if it's someone who's friends with people who are friends with me. Or even more especially if the person actually has no friends, because then I feel sorry for them. Sometimes they actually turn out to be cool people, though. It just means I have a lot of weirdos in my life, and once in awhile I have creepy creeps.

i do feel sorry for people who have no friends, but if they're assholes to begin with, then that explains why they have no friends, so i just figure that they should smarten up and then maybe they'd get some.

Sometimes they actually turn out to be cool people, though

I totally agree with you. I know where you're coming from, I have a couple of friends who are friends with a *horrible* person (you know who she is!) and I can never figure out why.

However,so the schooled side of me says, people's opinions are relative, they only take into account what is shown to them and don't truly believe that this other person can do something so nasty to another person, yet they're *nice* to them. Even when this person is being nasty they attribute it to an external source, not the person's internal attributes. And then you get the tired old line; "well they're trying to change". Like hell they are. If they were honestly trying to change they wouldn't have gotten nasty.

I think all nasty people should be kicked out of the universe.

And now that I'm done babbling, I'm going to go get some Ice creme.

hmm, that's very true; some people would rather attribute another person's "nastiness" to external sources than admit that it's the person themselves who is at fault. and yeah, i hate that "they're trying to change" line.

i agree that all nasty people should be kicked out of the universe. maybe they could go live a parallel universe designed just for assholes or something. :P
