No , there’s nothing special about this winter . I do not have snow on the green lawn that stretches idly infront of our home nor bonfires in the woods!!

protection from the heat. enthusiasm of having more energy. Heat always saps you of all the energy. Then the waking up in the morning and trying to get you feet on the cold ground and then deciding against it and staying in the warm, comforting and always inviting bed and quilt for some more time -- ok a lot more time.
I somehow never could enjoy the summers(except for yeah the obvious summer vacations). In winters we could enjoy more and more of our lives. we could go out and play more without parents constraining you for the fear that a heat stroke may harm you. And the food is always awesome in winters: makki di roti, sarson da saag, palak paneer, gobi de parathe, mulli de parathe. yummmmmmmmmm...... aur the yummiest of them all "Gajrela" for some Gazar ka halwa. and then there was always trusted poori chholle. and yeah the ice cream tastes best when had in winters, its the best had when you are shivering outside and inside. :-D yaar just thinking of all these is making me home sick. :-(

I see that you've really enjoyed winters! :)
And it seems the novelty of summers have faded away mostly becoz you've left summer holidays long behind.

While all that you mentioned made my stomach grumble :P I really hate gajar ka halwa, esp the sweeter, more deluged in ghee and milk ...the worse. :P
You should have been living around me, I would have shared my portion of Gajrela happily with ya. ;)

I atleast have one more summer holiday, next year. Maybe after that I'll get even more attached to winters. :)

Thanks for the lovely, straight out of the (stomach?) heart comment. :D
