The Stolen Thunder

Rumble. Thunder. Lightning.

And the princess stood robbed of her most precious gift, unaware of what lay ahead. The raindrops crawling on her forehead wiped clean the previously written future - a happy one, as easily as a soaking wet sponge would on being dragged on a black slate.

Instead, they wrote a new game for her to play while she ( Read more... )

well, it has been marginally ficionised as well as dramatised to pep up humour. Otherwise it is mostly the true saga of my stolen thunder.

I am not bothered about them apart from the fact that they are my friends which implicitly suggests - I'll be there for you [bon jovi] from my side.

It is fun to watch two of your friends fall for each other, as you get to be a part of that falling process, get the gossip bites from both the ends. And, once they have fallen for each other, both come and bitch about the other to you while you nod sympathetically laughing hysterically from inside. :D

Been there, done that several times. I am indeed enjoying my life, don't worry! :)

Yeah there is also some sentiments involved in your post which shows the non-fiction or true life part in it :D

Re: S and she I take back my prev suggestion . I had a misconception that they were not your *real* friends but looks like they are and you are having fun at their "Kahani" LOL

Some is an understatement ya! The only fiction is the style of writing, precisely the first two paragraphs. It was intentionally written to give a fiction feel to the post. :)

What I gleaned from the account was, on the contrary, that it was rather the return of the thunder that made it exceedingly difficult to be paid for by others.

Another conclusion that can be drawn is that it is relatively easy to be paid for your dates if you can bring along a friend having a thunder-crisis, and just let it (the thunder) return to her. The no-price-attached parts of the date can conveniently be continued once the the two lovebuds purge themselves of the thunderous friend. In any case, by this time a seperate thunder, entirely theirs, is anyway about to flourish.

It's pretty much like 'catalysts' in chemical reactions. Consumed and *released* during the initial course of the reaction to help in the progress ... but not ultimately a part of the reacting species. It's great you play that part well. I am sure there aren't many such godsends here around me.

All that aside, the post made for some really lovely reading ... the only thing that matters.

Are you by any chance suggesting that this post might be a palimpsest for the reader to peel different meanings? ;)
Well, not everybody is lucky to have me around. What can I say! 0:-)

Thank You. Praise from a writer whom I appreciate means a lot.
