Top ‘n town, New Market is my favourite place to meet friends and then take it from there. For the uninitiated, I am talking about an Ice-cream Parlour under the open sky with all the hot boys prowling around.
Hey I noted you have a very good IndiRank. Do you know any way of putting the Indirank widget on Livejournal? I tried pasting the code in my profile but it didn't work. (I am not talking about the Indiblogger badge that you currently have on your profile, but about the IndiRank widget)
Sorry, but I neva thought of putting the rank on my blog, so dunno! Infact I deleted my account from indiblogger, dunno how you came to know bout my rank and all?
Simbly the tale from the crypt of Top n Town is beaudiful, I say !
How much do these parachute thingys cost ?
IN most parts of India there is a specialisation going on of a particular community and caste dealing in one particular item of footpath consumer interest. Thus you have families from a particular community, which only sell umbrellas all over central and south western India and then there are some that sell only say "parachute" toys. It is a fascinating change that seems to be taking over this nation.
The concept of "naadas" being sold by little salesmen on the prowl is something that is foreign to my senses. I do not get around much. Hopefully I will see this exotic trade in the North India one of these days !
Thanks and thanks for the info on the trade too. The toy costs around 20 bucks and I never noticed if there's a particular caste or community selling em!
It isn't really exotic - the trade, I am not sure if you will find these toys all over north India. :)
I went to new market to get myself 2 of those 125 bucks cheap quality shirts to go to college. And as per the seniors' rules you have to wear vertical striped shirts only... Memorable I say :D I was not supposed to wear anything else btw, no tees ( I had Megadeth n The Doors n all. :P lol). Funny it was out there. Looking at my guitar as if it was some landed UFO, not saying that the place is backward...but the ppl...yes surely.
:) I don't know what kind of people you met, but they shouldn't have treated your guitar like an UFO atleast. These days almost everybody owns a Gibson.
Now if I talk about the "gap" I face, you'll probably get me. But then I am from here too, so d'uh!
