I've been thinking about regrets a lot recently. There are some I just need to GET OVER (mostly related to being irresponsible about schoolwork or paperwork back in the day). I've rationalized, I've confessed... What does moving on require? Convincing myself nothing similar will happen again? Taking steps to ensure that? Those would probably help, anyway. I also figure I need to do something grand and ceremonial to clear it out of my system, but I'm not sure what.
It is probably way easier to avoid doing regrettable things or letting regret take hold in the first place than it is to get rid of regret once it is deep-seated. :\
The stubborn part of me says I'm too young for regrets... but they're still there.
I think I could live without accumulating new regrets... but what about the ones that are already there? How do I come to terms with the things I've done or failed to do? How do I forgive myself for things I haven't yet been able to?
I hope the both of us are able to figure these things out. I think it'd be really cool to get rid of those old ghosts and shadows.
