The past week-ish and goodbye to Bert

So let’s see George passed away and Ria and I rushed down there. Mom has been doing great since yesterday when the obituary that I helped to write with the funeral home guy came out. Now that everybody knows, and George knew pretty much everybody, mom cannot walk 10' without being told some George story or given condolences... Mom would much prefer

Sorry to hear about George, but pleased to hear that the animal shelter will be getting some benefit from this trajedy.

As for the gun show, can you please let me know the next time you go to one of these? I would love to go, but seem to be incapable of locating the shows or getting to one. (I would hate to go alone - I might buy too much :-)

Yes, I was in the car with Bert (and 3 others) when the accident happened. I am still trying to wrap my head around what all happened. Bert was driving, everyone else was asleep. I was in the back righthand seat. I was jolted awake right before it happened. I am virtually unscathed. Bert did not suffer. Nick was in the back lefthand seat. He suffered serious injury to both his hands. He has undergone surgery by a hand surgeon and will need more. He is still in the hospital here in Las Vegas but may actually be able to leave soon.

Thanks. We are so glad to hear that you are okay, and so sad to have heard about Bert.

When it comes to gun shows the next one in Monroe is the 19th and 20 of July. Ria and I are not planning on attending that one, but dependign on my homework load I might be able to swing going with you if wanted to go. Ria need our wallets to recover fromt he last one.

I think the current plan is to try to hit the Monroe show after "Penticon take 2" which would be on Sunday the 14th. Puyallup is a bigger show and the next one we might hit is Oct 11th since Ria and I will be heading south anyway for a vacation.
