After watching this very powerful movie, I really wanted to make a video to it. I started this video in December of 2007 and decided to pick it up again to finish it. I'm really glad that I stuck with it and completed it.
I wanted to show basically a movie overview on Melinda and the traumatic experience she went through that caused her to become disconnected with everything around her. I thought the song fit so well with how she was feeling, that I had to vid to it! I did some parallels between the night she was raped and the present. There was a lot of things in the movie that reminded her of that day such as the dead frog lying on it's back, the trees, her artwork had meaning and lots of of other things. When showing the night she was raped, it reminded me a lot of Veronica Mars and how she was broken when she was raped. In VM, they used this really cool blurry effect and I wanted to re-create that for this vid.
