ImpCom will be my shameless plug

I found the publisher's summary for Imperial Commando: 501st and got a feeling of deja-vu. All I could think of was CfM and how close to the canon it was. When the book is out and people stumble on What it takes they will probably think I got inspired from that crappy summary.

I used commen sense, and I'm letting Traviss have fun repeating over 500 ( Read more... )

I'm curious to see what the Empire is going to do for the clones, if anything. I feel like it would put a spin on things if the Empire maybe gave the clones a tiny salary and treated them better--because, even if it's only for the next five years, they're the best trained army the Empire has. The last thing they need is to piss them all off.

And I want to know what happens to Niner and Darmen. If Niner doesn't get some ass, I'm going to be pissed.

I also have a theory that Vau is gay. I don't know if there will be any development with him whatsoever, but ehhh.

I do hope she gets away from the "clones are people too" thing. We're good there. >>

Vau, gay? Well let me think...

...No he just gives all the love he has to Mird. If there weren't any clones to bring justice to he'd give his parents' legacy to the strill. I've heard stories of old people giving their house and wealth to their poodle when they die. I've also known of rich aristocrats who have no kids and never got married (they're in their 70's) because their relatives are only interested in their money and they don't want to share anyway. Vau seems like the type, the very tough asshole who never learned to love as a kid and became this hardass killing machine who cares for no one but himself and his pet ( ... )

Okay, I can totally see that too. I wasn't sure though. I was like "We don't know if he's left any family behind, he's kind of prissy, and I could see him sodomizing someone." That was all I got.

Darman for sure is going to die. I don't think he can recover from this. Also, in the Legacy of the Force books, Kad says something about how he was raised by his aunts and uncles, so Darman disappears somewhere. I dunno, maybe he runs away with a hooker.

I wonder how long this series is supposed to be. Does it say anywhere? :O

According to KarenTraviss.com she planned 3 of them.

And what is it with the gayness, so if the author didn't build a family around a character he's automatically gay? What is this "sodomy by default" way of thinking! You can be gay and not practice sodomy! ;D Let me tell you who is really gay in that series...

...

... Goran and Medrit Beviin. When I first found out about these two I laughed my fucking ass off and almost turned my back on all the Mandalorian mambo jumbo.

And yes, today you get yummy David Paetkau in the icons because he's so nomnomnomnoomnom
