as I said to my stepfather after Biden's speech yesterday:

Mith: Oh, that's our vice president.

Stepfather: No, that's the democratic vice presidential candidate.

Mith: No, that's our vice president. Obama didn't make a stupid choice, because he's not a stupid man.

Yeah. Obama is a smart man, Obama is an inspiring man, and -- god, I can't remember the last time I was this optimistic about politics. I really can't.

Oh man, yeah. Speech made me squee.

It's been so long since I let myself be hopeful; first person to try to burst my little bubble of 'maybe everything isn't ruined forever' is going to get bit on the face, and not in a fun way. ;)

I am so excited about him, and voting, and the resurgence of political rhetoric as a valid communicative tool in America (ehee.)

It's been forever -- it's been EVER -- since I felt this way about politics.
