Ahaha. Please don't mind me dissolving into giggles right now; this was hilarious. I really want to quote a ton of separate sections, but that would make for a pointlessly long comment, so I'll try to keep this briefer.

"Half the Liberation Army had a crush on Tir McDohl." Except this part. I'm quoting this part because it is excellent and true and I always love acknowledgment that everyone is basically in love with the main protagonist. Stupid sexy Tenkai

It's like one of the immutable laws of Tenkai. Horrible things will happen to the people you care most about, and everyone will hit on you, which makes point A awkward. (Well, okay, I guess Thomas kind of averts those points, but.)

I'm really interested in the whole Futch-Luc-Sasuke friendship (if that is indeed the right word for it), especially considering Futch's optional lines to Luc if you bring him to the final dungeon. And hey, they're both a little bratty at this stage, but in different ways, which makes bouncing them off each other fun.

Re: the crit -- I see what you mean! I was worried that too much of Luc going Tir-samaaaa~ internally would slow down the pace of the fic, but there's definitely room to explore how his crush came about. Maybe if I put together some kind of "Five People Who Had Hopeless Crushes On Tir McDohl" fic; lord knows there are enough people I could use for that. :D

Luc is such a brat in I&II and I love him for it.
