You Won't Find Me Here (X-Men First Class, Charles/Erik)

Jun 15, 2011 18:26

...I always promise to make reaction posts about things and then I end up writing fic instead.

(Would you believe this is the first time I wrote fic for a kinkmeme, too? Yeah. It's different, but not bad, I don't think.)

Anyway, as I have expounded on before, the trailer for this movie made it look like it would be a bundle of Things That Give Me ( Read more... )

fandom: x-men first class, length: 1000-5000, genre: shameless porn, fic, rating: nc-17, genre: m/m

It is always a little strange to say "thank you" to comments like this, but: thank you.

Not going to lie, the working title for this story was Manpain: The Fic.

They can't be boyfriends forever because we can't have nice things. And neither can they. (Though this is not entirely true because there are periods where the two of them work together! And then they break up again because Erik has one of his taking-over-the-world crazyfits, but they'll always have the eighties.)

and aaaah, thank you, I am so glad you like it~

... *coughs* In the more recent Marvel continuity, he and Charles are working together again as he seems to want to redeem himself. How long this will last, only time will tell. Also read Children's Crusade where he may or may not have ulterior motives for wanting to find his daughter and working with her so-called twin boys. I personally hope he just wants his family back so that he and Erik can give Billy and Teddy the list of "what not to do" in a relationship. *headdesk*

I've heard! I probably should start following X-men again -- I generally drift in-and-out of being actively into comics, but this movie + generally having heard good things about what's going on in the title now means I might end up drifing more in.

"Don't be like Uncle Charles and Uncle Erik" is pretty good relationship advice, on the whole.

... You have no idea how happy I am to see fic from you in this fandom.

Oh dear God, Erik... Don't do this to yourself. You tragic future terrorist you. He doesn't even know the extent of Charles's injury and the next movie should show that because oh lord the angst!!!!.

That was so wonderful. It was surreal, yet vivid and just so damn depressing. I hope your plan on writing more for them.

The first draft of this had a mention of what happened to Charles, but fuckit, there's enough angst in this story already.

Thanks so much, and I do indeed plan on writing more -- there's a whoooole bunch of prompts waiting, and I can't wait to get my hands on some of them. also, Mith and I have an idea.

And if this is the imagined version, just picture how good actual telepathic sex must be...

Beautiful tragedy is basically them in a nutshell. Ah, my heart~ Thank you for reading!
