So there are these things called the Pearl Awards for Hunger Games fic and art that exceeds expectations! (Which makes me think of OWLs. Oh, fannish roots.) (Once you actually get started, they are very quick reads. Mostly because they are virtually impossible to put down. That's why I've been reading so much YA lately, I think -- they require so much less I Must Sit Down And Read time.)

Aaah! Congrats! I am super happy because I would never have gotten on this bandwagon had you not suddenly and inexplicably become completely in love with it and thus made it impossible for your watchers not to read the book. :D

It really was sudden and sorta-inexplicable! I mean, explicable when I started to read the series because the books are motherfucking awesome, but I seriously picked up the first book on a whim and then BAM. LOVE.

I think Mith's competing with herself in at least one category. I await the shenanigans when she throws down with herself for the prize.
