Mith and I have so much fun writing Finnick's family -- they pop up even more in whatever we end up calling the sequel to this thing (which might end up even longer than this fic, oh dear god). And sixteen grandchildren, wow.

Finally caught up on this. I meant to leave a comment on all chapters, but I just wanted to keep reading so I forgot to.

Anyway... oh, Finnick. It breaks my heart to read this. I just wanna take him and Annie far away from the Capitol and Snow and all of it. Poor things.

Oh god, so do I. Oh honeys. I mean, at least they eventually find each other and can take solace in that (...not a spoiler), but it's still kind of bittersweet.

The thing is, Finnick doesn't tell them because he knows that most of his family, especially his parents, would tell him to stop and would lay down their lives for it, and Finnick refuses to let that happen.
