No longer!

(I'm not even using Wiki much for the research for this, but I can't exactly scan the relevant pages of my books, nor do I really want to. Hassle and all that.)

:P Welladay, a good student knows that Mama Wiki's but a starting point! And, so it seems, a linkable quickref for historifics. Most handy.

Oh, it's insanely useful for footnoting -- I usually just Wikilink when I footnote. I figure it provides enough context for, well, what I'm using it for.

I love you. *tackles you to the floor and molests*

Was that really the Frankenstein? Or just something made similarly? (probably a stupid question, yes)

England has to be freaking cold in his modern clothes in comparison to what they used to wear back then. What with the lack of central heating and all. And the miniature ice age thing. :c He needs to grab some period clothes. So does America. xD Speaking of which, their meeting... I lol'd.

So our England went back in time and became both the old and the modern England? Otherwise I was waiting for the hilarity that would ensue between England meeting his old self (especially since our England is a slight bit older in appearance).

Awww, exams. We all know how that feels. Or, rather, I used to know how that felt. Now all of my final exams are papers. I think I'd rather have tests.

Eep! So glad you enjoyed, though I think my girlfriend might take issue with the molestation bit...

No, not the Frankenstein, but the principle behind its construction is similar -- well, except for the bit where Our Mystery Killer uses magic instead of science.

They're Nations, so they won't die from it (and England's lived through the time period before, so he has some resistance), but yes, they're freezing. They'll get period outfits in the next chapter, don't worry. And many sartorial hijinks will ensue!

Basically -- England, as a Nation, encompasses everything that it means to be England, which includes his past self. It's kind of a magical tautology, but as amusing as two Englands running about would get, I'd get a headache writing it.

I'm with you there. *groans* Too many goddamn papers, ack.

Yay! Period clothes!

And tell your girlfriend no harm meant. ;D *molests anyway*

I just have to wonder, though, if Will is going to figure out that America is... more than he seems. And if he even knows where the new world is. Europe pretty much knows of its existence at this point, right? Spain should have landed in the Caribbean by now.

Yush. I'm working on three papers right now. Three 6000+ word papers.

I shall convey this to her! meep.

He knows of the New World, yes, though England doesn't have much of a colonial presence there yet -- well, Roanoke, but Roanoke disappeeeeeared, and Jamestown won't be established until 1607. Will already suspects that America's more than he seems, and once he sees him interacting with England (who Will knows is a Nation), he'll probably put two and two together.

Which will, in and of itself, raise interesting questions.

I really, really enjoyed this chapter. And the end made me laugh, a lot!

The end is the Elizabethan version of the Rocky Horror Picture Show Mouseketeers call. I desperately, desperately wanted to have someone shout "ROCKY!"

Ahahaha! I saw that! I was thinking you had that in mind, when I, myself, added "ROCKY?" aloud at the end! You write fantastically, might I add! :D

Normally, I don't give a crap what characters are wearing in fiction, but in this case I want to know, what are America and England wearing?

America's in a T-shirt and jeans, though the Chamberlain's Men have loaned him more suitable clothing since then -- you'll get the rundown of his outfit next chapter. England was in khakis and a fluffy cardigan, and he's been walking around town using the blanket as a cloak. He looks weird, but unlike America, England can make himself unseen when he wants to, particularly in this period.
