help me scratch my writer-itch?

Graah. I feel like I should be writing something* tonight, but Worldsmith** needs an actual outline, I think, so I have something akin to a schedule to keep myself to, and I can't decide whether or not I'm in the right mood to write any of the Blocfics. And there are things at saying_yes_2010 that interest me, but I am kind of waiting to be blindsided by one of ( Read more... )

Honestly? If you were writing a story just for me I'd want it to take itself apart and still hold together.

:snuggle:

Also I really miss you right now.

I miss you too. And deconstruction is more your kink than mine, but.

Not a crossover so much as it just has a Who-esque feel, what with the adventures! In Time! And Space! except mystical instead of SF. But yeah, England's the Doctor-equivalent in that scenario.

Morissey would've been a fantastic Doctor, yeah. Well, we'll see what Eleven does with it. He looks so adorkable.

(Moffat has written most of my favorite episodes for the show, so that's encouraging. On the other hand, I will never sleep again after he takes over Who. Especially since Eleven's first episode evidently features the return of the Weeping Angels OH GOD.)

Yeah, I think he's a Baker man, too, though I also think he has a soft spot for Seven, because Seven is a right bastard and England can respect that. And England is totally a grumpy old man when it comes to -- well, everything, but SF, certainly that too.

pff, America wishes he was Captain Jack.

I'm fond of Ten, don't get me wrong, but I do want to see what Eleven will bring to the table.

oh god Midnight why did you remind me. D:

Colin Baker...it's a pity, because he was a longtime fan and he arrived when the producers decided they wanted to really break away from the way Doctor Who was, especially under Baker, so they tried to make a more One-like Doctor with Six, but. Er. Yyyyeah. Didn't help that he had Peri. Fucking Peri.

If we're talking old-school Doctors, my favorite is actually Two. Or Seven, because he was a bit of a dick, and also Ace. ♥

Hurrr, I always feel like a Bad Fan for not having seen Classic Who. Except for the first episode ever.

I haven't seen nearly all of it, nor do I think anyone should TRY, good god, but there are some fantastic serials from the old series. And luckily most of them stand alone relatively well.

*grin* I hope I can pull it off, because I think it deserves to be something more than a cool idea trapped in my head.

-- oooh, that idea has potential. And, well, clothesporn and snark! I am always up for these things, especially of late (o hai thar Prussia/Poland fic).

We'll see what happens after I finish the Who binge!

Heee. It's not strictly a crossover -- I'd more be emulating the feel of Doctor Who than the actual events of the show, and with a mystical rather than techy spin, because, well, England.
...well, probably an aged-up version of Doctor Who. But not in a Torchwood way. (Sorry, America, you're still not Captain Jack Harkness.)
