Oh Christmas. I'd say that practicing and your book are a great way to spend Christmas. Forget about your family and remember you've made your own world where only nice people can be. Sometimes your nice world has only you in it, but its still your own and others will be there with you soon enough. Salvage as much Christmas as you can, and we'll hang out soon.

It becomes acceptable as soon as you wish it, I say. I've never understood why family-loyalty is such a strongly ingrained "virtue." It's totally beyond me why everyone wants to support this system where there's a group of people who can treat you however they want, and you're supposed to just take it because of an accident of birth.
I mean, I can think of some reasons why, but they're all dumb.

You don't owe them nothin'.

PS: Merry Christmas!

"because of an accident of birth" I like that. I remember a conversation once when deleena told me that it makes sense that many of us don't enjoy our families because we didn't get any say in who they were. Im beginning to understand that more and more.

Merry Christmas to you too! I was actually thinking of you today when I was dancing around to my own music in my room and I wished you could be here and not in bellingham. We could ditch our families together.

Good luck in your holiday! I've not seen any sad posts from you on it yet, so that's a good sign. I'm sure glad I know you.

You have my deepest sympathies. I'm currently stuck away from the people I love most too. Less explosive, but still away. Enjoy your book. I'm about to bury my head in my latin book :).
*hugs and love*
