Yes, a good street scene must have narrative... Perhaps that is why I'm not very good at photographing street scenes - I don't see the story.

the street photo can be very various on style. And even without people can be expressive.

Yes, that's true. Sometimes the drama is in the buildings, or the lines, or the shadows...
