I'm trying catch up on the posts I've missed over the last couple of weeks . . . quite a big, but nice task for an early Sunday morning.
As usual, your photos delight me. Thank you for all of them.
What fascinating camo-coloring on that pretty orange tip butterfly! I've never heard of them before and look forward to seeing those wings open. The Max-in-flight shot made me smile. Of course. As do the pretty flowers. I wouldn't want to leave that pelargonium house either! It appears to be a great design utilizing the stone wall and the combo of shady cover and open for light and air. Someday, I'll have something like that. *snort!InMyDreams!* The Apollo temple is my fave and I happen to think the little 1806 Cottage garden feature is adorable. Do they rent it out to over-nighters?
Yeah... Pelargonium Houses and Orangeries - we shall have them both when we win the lottery, eh?
The National Trust does have a holiday cottage on the estate, but the little cottage by the lake is empty - merely an ornamental structure. It does get thousands of garden visitors wandering by and peering in through the windows!
