Down at the stableyard for half ten. The sky very dark and threatening. But the rain held off as we led the horses out of the stables, adjusted stirrups, tightened girths, led horses over to the mounting block to climb on board - and only once we were all in the saddle and setting off did the rain begin to fall quite heavily

Despite the rain and the not-so-synchronized peeing, it sounds like a good ride was had by all. Handy to have a weather-sensitive as ride leader.

I love riding in the rain... But not in the solid, hammering, still-emptying-rain-from-your-riding-boots-a-week-later rain. T.'s weather sense saved us all from an almighty drenching.
