Hey, you caught a leaf! I feel that should entitle you to a wish - or perhaps the wish was covered by being able to take refuge in the tearoom.

In the beech woods the air was so full of leaves it would have been quite hard not to catch one... It was glorious. And once again I entirely forgot that there is a movie function on my camera.

But yes, by the time I'd made the circuit of the lake, tea was definitely foremost among wishes.

Somewhere for the young ladies in their empire line muslin dresses to shelter from the rain!

I love Stourhead at this time of year - love how the wild weather and the leaves flying everywhere undermine all that careful ordering of nature...

How beautiful! I do like wandering around formal gardens, though don't often get the chance because there aren't any local ones.

Stourhead is perhaps a bit too grand for my tastes - but I do love it in November with the leaves flying...

Marvellous pictures. Sadly, all your haunts are just a little too far from London to meet up :-(

I went to Kew today - its surprising how many trees still have a few autumn leaves left!

Thanks!

Yes, the trees here are still far from bare. We've mostly escaped the November gales until now - but there's one due to arrive tomorrow morning...
