According to a notice by the window, the artist chose to work in restrained colours so as to make the window fit harmoniously in a church with very little stained glass...

It reminded me of some windows we saw last year at Gloucester Cathedral, and it turns out to be the same artist.

I love the few pieces of Thomas Denny's work that I've come across - a very subtle beauty, not overpowering in a tiny ancient church.
