It really is. One of those places where all periods of time - the prehistoric and the medieval and the modern - are present together...

It has a reputation as the most haunted site in Dorset, but I've only ever been there during the day, and I've never felt at all uncomfortable there.

There's no holy well there, but it seems to have been a sacred site for at least four thousand years.
