The girls got a sore throat. All she wants to do is sleep in. Never again will she buy honey with honey comb in it. The girl must leave the internet behind and head to work. She should put pants on first though.

Random comment from a hobbyist beekeeper - don't eat more than the odd mouthfull or two of honeycomb at a time, and don't swallow the wax - chew it up into a lump and spit it out. Being, as it is, long chain waxy alcohol scrapings from worker bees abdomens, it's got a bunch of chemicals and enzymes in it that can cause stomach aches and upsets in humans - generally only mild crampings, but annoying enough to want to avoid.

The main reason we occasionally sell comb honey is mostly because it _looks_pretty_, not because there's anything inherently superior about it. We always preferred to extract the honey and re-use the comb - there's nothing quite like putting a wet, freshly extracted comb back in the hive to generate a big boost in honey gathering activity, and in addition, the wax is valuable and useful enough that selling it as comb is a waste.

Good to know!
the woman was really enthusiastic when selling me the kind with the comb in the honey.. it doesn't do well in tea.
I could send you the wax if in you like? heh
