Ok, I was and have been in HP fandom (Because I love Neville) for 3 1/2 years.  Tried other fandoms as well but nothing clicked.  Then I watched the eps 11-13 of Glee in the fall and winter and LOVED.

Then I watched The Power of Madonna and the UST of Kurt and Puck finally inspired
