Everyone places the end of childhood at different points: a specific birthday, graduation, getting a first job. For Puck, childhood ended the day he learned to ride his bike.

Your parents tell you to trust them, and you do. You tell them not to let go of the bike, not even a little bit, not even if it looks like you can do it, and they promise they won’t. They promise they’ll keep holding on to you. You believe them, because you know they would never lie to you. They will always be there to hold you up. They will always be there to protect you.

Except they do let go. They let go every single time and you know that’s the end of trust.

The end of trust is the end of childhood.

God fucking damned inventory. Unlimited overtime for the week can go to hell; he was waging war on his alarm clock. Day 8- I'm Not Even Supposed To Be Here Today After Quinn gives Beth away, Puck can't leave his room for three weeks. Huddled under the blankets all he wants is sunlight. A stirring in his belly makes him feel like he doesn't deserve sunshine yet. He cries more than he ever has in his whole life. Laying in the darkness with just his quiet sobbing as a soundtrack, he is able to examine his life in a way he never could before ( ... )

Okay, so I was freaking out, all "what is Silent Bob's only line???!?" because I've never seen that movie. So I looked it up on Google, and, oh, it was that quote in italics...
And now I feel stupid :D

BEST DRABBLE OF THE SERIES SO FAR. SO MUCH LOVE, FROM THE MARIO KART TO THE FACT THAT BETH LOOKS LIKE PUCK (traditionally, people paint her as Quinn's double). LAST LINE OF DIALOGUE FOR THE FUCKING WIN.
