I just finished (somewhat) the 1st floor of the coolest museum in the world, hands down. The Deutsches Museum in Munich is a techincal history museum from the 20th century and most of it is hands on. It brings to mind the now defunct Children's Musuem in Washington DC. They have everything from hands on experiements to explain Einstien's Theory ( Read more... )

So last night I met up with Wasti & Basti at their local hangout (the News Bar) in the Schwabing district. The stretch of the Leopoldstrasse where it is seems to be the the "university" district with Starbucks, Pizza Hut, Burger King, United Colors of Benton all within 2 blocks of each other. Yesterday after I checked out of the hostel and dropped my stuff off at the Hautbanhof, I went back to the Bavarian Film Studio. The English tour is about 60-90 min depending on your tour guide. I fell asleep last night after I got home so missed Basti & my mom calling me cause my phone was charging at the front desk. I sent Basti a text message apologizing for missing them. The 2 Germans we met in the Dublin hostel picked up my digital camera. They somehow got my email address and will either mail it to me in Germany or I can come to Stuttgart to pick up. Now that is what I call lucky!

I can't believe how hard it is in München to get my laptop to work... very odd and no one seems to understand computers in the Internet Cafe's so I'm stuck using the ones here... I really don't like these keyboards... the 'y' is in the 'z' spot among other things... it slows me down typing wise ( Read more... )

Yesterday my cousins and I went to Amsterdam for the day. The plan was to get in there around 11:30, dropped our stuff off in a locker, get a reservation for the sleeper car to Munich and spend roughly 6-7 hours exploring the city. There is nothing like having the once in the life time opportunity to spend the summer in France and spend all your money; then to come back and get jerked over by your place of employment.
