What is vanity/subsidy publishing?
per SWFA :
A vanity publisher prints and binds a book at the author's sole expense. Costs include the publisher's profit and overhead, so vanity publishing is usually a good deal more expensive than self-publishing. Out of curiosity, what brought this on? Also, would you mind if I post this on my critique group site? We're always looking for tidbits of info to help people get their stuff published.

lol--just venting I think. i keep meeting people who think that paying for being published is the same as a publishing contract with royalties and advances from a traditional place. guess it irked me some. Sure you can use it. The descriptions were from SWFA so you might wanna use a link for that.
