Winter, and Editing Mystery Story

It's Winter Solstice here. Although seasons are not as clearly marked here as in, for instance, Europe, my street is covered with yellow leaves. We had a few cold days, but the last days have been hot and awfully dry. I hate this weather

Very true. But I prefer rain to dry weather!
