GreatestJournal is dead, LiveJournal has cut 12 of 28 U.S. employees and I myself am not feeling very well lately.

Huh, I wonder what happened to GJ? And it says that you can backup using LJArchive, but when I just tried that, I got an error message...

Pfff, I have no idea. That sucks. It seems weird to me, the idea that you might be able to back-up your entries when the site is down.

I thought so too, but then again it should be possible to access the (databased?) entry data while the front end of the site is offline, as long as you have the proper authentication. And it wasn't an authentication error that I was getting, it was a corrupt data one. So apparently, they're wrong! Either that, or I was pointing LJArchive at the wrong place. *shrug*
