Why? Because without it, anyone can easily hack someone’s account and in two weeks it is going to get even easier.

thank you for sharing this. I just went and checked my settings to be sure they are the "secure" ones.
why do folks think it fun to hack a person's email?

Yeah, it's no fun at all. I suppose some of them shouldn't even be called "hackers" -- they are but criminals. A few of them may think they are fighting "against the system". But rich, powerful people don't use Gmail.
