My high school algebra teacher threw chalk at kids who fell asleep in class and kept the thermostat set to 66 so we would stay awake--i had to bring a sweater to school in the summer for his class. He was kind of an asshole, but he was a *way* better algebra teacher than the one I had in junior high.
