Not your fault at all mate. Just one of those really unlucky things that just happen because they happen. If it wasn't that, it probably would have been something else :) All good!

Dude.. maybe I'm just being paranoid but I think you should friends-lock this post.

That was a riveting post to read.. obviously you're okay if you got to post about it in the end but damn that was intense.

I feel super sheltered.. I grew up in the inner city in bad areas with petty crime but haven't really been exposed to the underworld culture of gangs. I would be shitting myself in your shoes!

Yeah good advice. Not friends locking it, but removed the identifying name of the Auto shop just in case it shows up on google :P

Thanks :)

I think most cities have some elements of a gang culture, but it's more a they do their thing, we do our thing. Well that's the way it is here anyway.

that sounds like one dangerous city.. maybe living in Singapore is not so bad after all
here in Toronto we are fortunate as though there are gangs, I've never heard of anything like your experience happening before, which I guess is one advantage of living in boring Canada! :P
glad you are fine

I wouldn't go so far as it call it a dangerous city, but more so a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Like a lightning strike.

Sydney is quite safe for me, I think, as I've lived here long enough to know where the hot spots are, and how to stay as clear of them as possible. But yeah I hear Canada is pretty safe :)
