the figure of robin in the batman story is a direct, though likely unconscious, attempt to place some coded hint to the struggles of closeted and/or pathologically diagnosed (all) gay men in the post- WWII pre-stonewall era ( Read more... )

did you just write this out of boredom? i like.

also, i've been having the craziest dreams lately...the one last night included you and i (and other fictional people who lived at the segre house with us...even though the dream did not take place at the actual segre house) and we were dressing up for halloween or some party for halloween and i don't even remember what the costumes were...but then there was a blizzard and i don't know what else...weird.

I've been all about the weird dreams for the past couple months... I write a lot of them in my journal, but I have a lot more. I took a nap today (I've been all about the naps lately) and had more weird dreams. I don't remember all of them, just screaming at my mom again for doing something she always does that drives me crazy... Probably not healthy, but better to get that stress out somehow. Dreams are great...

yeah, i've been having a lot, too. for a while it was really solid, and i was waking up all tense and headachy for weeks, so i stopped using a pillow. it worked wonders for my dreams and back, but now i seem to be going through a weird phase again. but you might try changing up something about the way you sleep.

Well, they started ever since I moved into this studio. I think there's a few things that contribute, but living right next to an alley is probably the worst for sleeping... People always coming and going, cars, motorcycles, parties happening, and there's a fire station across the street that's noisy, too. I dunno... It's also kind of weird (but nice) living completely by myself.

From a chinese medicine perspective headaches and vivid dreams are likely related to the liver (the liver stores the blood when you sleep and it's also responsible for the free-coursing of blood through the vessels)... sorry I can't offer more than that, but I'm sure an acupuncture treatment and/or some herbs would probably really help with both.
