Workplace instituted another salary freeze.  First year we had 1/3 raise, second year there the normal one, last year 2/3 of the standard given raise.  It's quite frustrating.  They cite rising health care costs as a big reason.  Please excuse me while I go have an aneurysm and incur more ( Read more... )

I'm glad Aralis went more smoothly. That site is a little easier to use. Hopefully we can smooth out the workload waves in future so that nobody is doing too much.

We've had the same problem at my job. I've been there for ~4 years now and first year, I couldn't get a raise 'because I hadn't been there a full year'. Pay and bonus freeze in year 2. Year 3 there was no official pay freeze but they were stingy with them. Finally got a raise this year. I don't know if its their costs, or they know we don't have a lot of other places to go. My boss claimed it didn't matter since inflation was steady, but I've been noticing food and gas prices steadily creeping up.

Yeah, my boss and director are both upset- they don't have the power to give raises to anyone, and this was an executive order (President). I have looked at the numbers and applicants are down and money *is* a big problem. Cost of living is not being sustained.
