See, I considered that too...that perhaps he could take the memories she had, and then she could just tack on whatever memories after, now without the ones the Haiitian took. I'm not convinced, though, because humans already can forget things, without the Haiitian's help. Charlie's ability specifically prevents her from forgetting anything, so might that be able to stand up to the Haiitian's memory-erasure? My point is, hypothetically, the Haiitian could want to take something from someone's memory, but the natural processes of the human brain might have already cleared it before he got to it. That being the case, could he FORCE Charlie to forget something even though her brain is wired to not forget anything?
I just thought of the fact that Charlie was pretty early on in discovering her power, so her control over it was limited at best. The Haiitian, however, is quite the powerful character, arguably with the most control over his abilities out of everyone. If Charlie had been allowed to manifest, perhaps she could have canceled him out eventually, but at her early stages she probably could have been overpowered by him.
Well yeah, once her powers were more developed she might have at least been able to prevent him from taking her memories. But I think my theory still holds true. The human brain is a funny thing but it retains a lot more memories than we give it credit for. Your brain can store memories that you might not even be aware you have. Experiments with brain surgery (or whatever you want to call it) have shown that when the brain is triggered you can remember things you thought you've forgotten. I remember one of my science teachers telling us about some experiment or surgery where they opened a person's skull and triggered a part of the brain that made him/her (?) recount their 5th birthday party in extreme detail.
