About the calls . . .vox_et_moxMarch 30 2006, 15:01:31 UTC
Alex, keep trying when you get the chance, or leave us a way to contact you if you do get your phones back. I'm sorry that you missed us - it's been a fairly hectic, but good semester. I've added a third class, M's usually out researching, and we're pregnant again (considerably further along this time). And then (which you've probably noticed) we're often online when we actually are around . . . Hope everything's going ok. -V.
It is saddening to see your absence, your extended silence. You have such energy and it is always heartening to see someone still struggle even though they may not always hope. You show the soft, weak side of yourself as you fight to integrate and it gives your claws some purpose.
Fight on Alexandra. Maybe as you progress through each stage of yourself, your people will come back to you.
Is it struggle you need? Shall I strive to offend the next time?
There's no need to romanticize her condition. It's very likely that Alexandra has simply cycled from manic aggression to depressive despair. She doesn't need anything other than meds and a decent therapist and a willing-ness to look herself square in the eyeballs.
How very pragmatic of you. Your world view is certainly useful but not to the exclusion of all others. There is no need for you to concern yourself with telling her friends how they should interact with her.

Googled: "The Lemuel Shattuck Hospital is the primary provider of ambulatory and inpatient services for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health in the Metro-Boston area. In addition, this fully accredited, teaching facility provides a wide array of quality mental health and substance abuse and human services.
The Shattuck is unique in that it provides a comprehensive set of services to some of the Commonwealth's most disadvantaged and needy clients. The Facility offers a network of services that allows individuals with multiple diagnoses to be treated at one site. This continuum of care greatly improves service delivery and reduces costs by consolidation and managing care."
Hey, hey, mama, said the way you move Gonna make you sweat, gonna make you groove. Oh, oh, child, way you shake that thing Gonna make you burn, gonna make you sting. Hey, hey, baby, when you walk that way Watch your honey drip, can't keep away.
I gotta roll, can't stand still, Got a flame in my heart, can't get my fill, Eyes that shine burning red, Dreams of you all thru my head. Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah.
Hey, baby, oh, baby, pretty baby, Tell me what you do me now. (Repeat)
Didn't take too long 'fore I found out What people mean my down and out. Spent my money, took my car, Started tellin' her friends she wants to be a star. I don't know but I been told A big legged woman ain't got no soul.
All I ask for when I pray, Steady rollin' woman gonna come my way. Need a woman gonna hold my hand And tell me no lies, make me a happy man.
