So what have you changed besides removing the bowl under the shade and replacing it with the smaller ornamentation?

I just removed the bowl and that's it. The other ornament was actually always there under the bowl. :) I'll make a proper comparison shot when I fixed the technical issues.

Check the Material Names in the Text Lists for your table and floor lamps. Since they're slaved, the references in there should be for the wall lamp.(For the parts that are slaved, that is.) :) The Light ON and Light OFF BHAV's look fine so fixing the Text Lists should fix your lamps. The table lamp and the lit ring? I looked and looked at it and can't figure it out. It seems like it shouldn't be lit all the time. If you can't get it working properly, I can look into it further for you. (With 50something lights under my belt I should've been able to figure it out already, lol.)

Thanks for you help! Unfortunately that didn't change anything. :( Maybe if I did that and also change the BHAV group numbers, but as I have replied to Lunie that causes sim time to freeze. I asked her to take a look since she has succeeded in this particular task of slaving lamps before. Did you do that, too? As I said before, making a working light in itself doesn't seem too difficult and I'm experienced in slaving, it's just both together that makes me cry.

Oh, I looked at the instance numbers but I missed the difference in the group numbers! Unfortunately setting them to 0xFFFFFFFF somehow breaks the BHAVS and my lamps freeze sim time. :( http://ic.pics.livejournal.com/psychosim/25708679/184085/184085_original.jpg

I imported the BHAVS directly from the maxis lamp, might that be the cause of trouble here? I would really appreciate if you could take a deeper look, I'm out of clues.

Lunie - I'm confused here. Since his lights are slaved to the in game light, shouldn't the ##0x1C050000 part NOT be there? I've never slaved any lights to an in game light but I know when I slave other meshes to an in game mesh, that part isn't in the Material Names. (OR, I'm pretty sure it's not? Now you've got me doubting myself, lol ( ... )

Yes, BHAVs were there before. I imported the ones from the maxis lamp because I took a look at Lunie's Ilistara lamps (add-ons slaved to maxis lamp, exactly what I'm trying to do here) and it looked like those BHAV were the same as the maxis lamp. I had hoped that importing the original BHAVs would fix the lighting problems, as I was pretty sure that the issue had something to do with the BHAVs ( ... )
