Thank you! This is exactly how I want my industrial things -- well-used, a bit grimy, but functional looking. Very clever to give the crazier among us the car option. I'm taking the deco option because I never let my sims have cars anyway. They can walk or take the taxi.

I tried to do this to one of her buses (I forget which set, but I think it might have been Stalker) doing texturing alone, and soon discovered that it wasn't recoloable. I was sad, because the other buses I attempted -- Asamo's and I forget whether it was Vovilia or VPN -- were so badly mapped that there was no going ahead with it.

Oh, wait! The version that is categorized with cars is still decorative (I just added that note after your comment)! I just put it there because the deco catalog is usually so full already with other stuff.

That makes sense. But I use my collections folders to clear up that nonsense. I only go through my deco catalog to put things into collections.

Sweet, this repaired Bulldozer will really be useful because my newest lot is an apartmentbuilding next to a corner building wich is in the middle of demolition.I know,i love old buildings and i think everyone that destroys an old building should be punished, but the world can`t always be perfect, not even in Sims :D

Not every old building needs or ought to be preserved -- otherwise all your old buildings would be the same era (gothic, maybe, in Europe? By which I mean the ancient gothic, not the nineteenth century gothic revival or the contemporary whatever it is that gets called gothic!)

But a lot of them ought to be.

Your lots are gorgeous vignettes. I love how you delve into the architectural history of each location and time period and make things that really evoke their time and place.

Thanks ritaxis.I always appreciate if when people like my work.
As for the old buildings, yeah, you`re right, sticking in the past wouldn`t help much because we would maybe still live in little sheds made of clay, farmanimalpoop and wooden planks :D

But what i really don`t like is if they demolish a completely intact and well maintained old building and let the empty plot of land empty for a long time, just for speculating and trying to get richer with pulling up the price for the lot.And while this happens, the lot is a complete eyesore.
I notices this while browsing through Manhattan with Streetview when i stumbled upon a small empty square next to a large old warehouse building. So i copied the adress and searched for it.
There was once an old Rowhouse with two shops on the baselevel.
The facade was in sad shape, but then it was redone, renovated, the whole "old house wellness"-stuff and a nice and clean looking house was reborn.A year later they wreckingball came and destroyed it....
Sorry for the long read, have a nice weekend...

Yes, this hapopens a lot here because land prices are in a complete bubble. It has nothing to do with the reality of on-the-ground usefulness.

Oh, I don't know how I forgot to comment on this earlier! It's a really great idea of restoring the vehicle, are you planning to do the same with more of the vehicles?

Actually, yes, I do. :) It's only one of many projects, though, I can't promise anything.
