It was somewhere in 2008 when I started my journey into this community as an active creator. Wow, that's half a decade! I'm planning to celebrate this! :D
Congrats on the 5 years of creating. That's awesome! I don't remember how I stumbled upon your stuff, but I've always admired it even if it didn't fit in with my current game theme. I'm now thinking of playing a 50s/retro hood and I think I'll be downloading quite a bit more of your great stuff soon. :)
Happy 5th birthday, you're a child creator now. :D
I'm stunned, I really thought you were creating for a much longer time. I've only been playing the Sims 2 for about four years now (at least the computer version, before that I played the console games for two years or so), and as I came upon one of your creations in one of my first download sprees means that you've been a fledgling back then. Inconceivable! The objects that etched your name in my brain, by the way, were the Simlish recolors of the gas station set by SDA at MTS2, and I'm still very fond of that set.
I hope you will enjoy creating for many years to come, providing us with much needed grungy gadgets. Thanks for everything you've done so far!
*gasp* I didn't expect to get presents! I took a quick look in SimPE and I love your presents! :D Thank you very much! <3 I'll have to check them out in game asap.
Ah yes, that gas station! A little double-edged memory for me since it was "Part 1" for years without me doing a part 2, but I have secretly erased that bit from the title meanwhile. ;) That set was before the times I used layered textures for the grunge, just filters for the rust and handcraft for the smudge. :)
I'm glad you like them. I guess there aren't too many people besides us that can rejoice over water tanks. :)
Haha, if there's one pearl of wisdom I've taken to my heart during the short time I've been converting things, it's never promise a "Part 2". Too many surprises can put a crimp in your projects, and I hate feeling pressured to comply with a promise I made. And don't worry about the grunge layers; I wouldn't have noticed it if you hadn't mention it. :D
Hmm... I don't remember how or when, I think I ended up here after I saw your hazmat suits at MTS and I thought the model using the urinal was hilarious :D I know I resisted downloading all your npc replacements for like a week, before I gave in! And now they're in my "must-haves" folder. I can't imagine how miserable I'd be if the paper boy/girl showed up in the glaring uniform EA gave them.
Happy anniversary and thank you for all the cool stuff you've shared!
and what a 5 year stretch you have given us! I think I own ALL of your posted creations and they find their way in every single lot I create. I truly am amazed and glad you are around. Thank you, the lollipop-Sims-world would just be unbearable without your creations!
... oh and my first download and when you became very famous for me was the apocalyptic skies! Ain't no sunshine...
Thank you! Though lets not forget those who came before me. In my humble opinion Pixelhate was a real pioneer of all things grunge, he was a huge inspiration for my drift to the dark side. :)
And I'm very glad that in the near future I'll be able to give some real big tribute to some of his creations. ;)
I'm so late, but congratulations on your anniversary!
Do you know, you were at least partly responsible for inspiring my own love of grunge? (It was your amazing rusty, vintage car recolours that did it.) :D
