I think it's the shock and stress of everything that happened - hopefully with time, your body will even out again. I think it's good that you have realized something is wrong, and I would continue to stick to that plan - maybe even eat more than you are now.

If it goes go to 105, make sure you get checked out if you can though, okay? Just in case.

You're in my thoughts.

It's definitely the stress :( But like you said, if you dip too low, it'll be best to get it checked out in case something was triggered by the stress.

Please get better soon.

Everybody is affected by tragedy in different ways, but stress is an extremely common effect of it. Often the habits we develop are mechanisms to defend against dangerous behavior, even though it can be one itself.

I think you're at least making the right call to schedule meals, and i guess in general make an effort to reach out when its needed, like now. The body responds quite differently person to person to what the mind goes through. I hope the weight doesn't drop too low, and in general hope for the best.

You and the family are in my thoughts.

I'll have to be the fifth person here to say that it's the stress. From what I understand, being extremely stressed out typically leads to one of two things: your metabolism speeds up or your metabolism slows down. I think it's tied to the "fight or flight" mode your body goes into when stressed and what your temperment is like (tense and hyper vs. melancholy and sleepy). Regardless of how you feel (hungry, full, indifferent), being stressed takes a lot of energy out of you. You're probably better over-eating than not.

Still, exercising regularly will help you on both fronts and the scheduled eating isn't a bad idea, either. In fact, it may not be a bad idea to schedule other things... time with friends or family, time to groom, time to watch a movie or surf the web, you know, stuff like that just to keep active on a variety of fronts.

I hope you feel better!
