I'm at a conference in Chicago and I just got online and I'm listening to My Chemical Romance Fallout Boy (apparently I cannot tell the difference? BUT I CAN BE TAUGHT) and rocking out with my headphones while my colleagues check in with significant persons via phone. I get to go to my first professional conference this month and I am VERY excited about it. Mine is only a few hours away in Virginia, however.

Tell them you need to go to Sacramento for a California teaching seminar at the Holiday Inn on Date Avenue.
Why? because, um, you want the kids to know Californian as well as English and must study the Californian in their native habitat. And, um, you hear Sacramento is cool (it can be! I know how!) Adn we have teaching seminars.
Do it, do it NAUOWGH!!!!

Oh man. I got kicked off the Napa trip (to NewTec HS) because of expenses (BOOOO). On the plus (minus?) side I'll probably be "left in charge" while they're gone. Ahahaha.
