Yeah, I'm in trouble now for posting this...!

The most pricey part is the hotel, but for us it's worth it not to have to stay in the halls. The tickets are £30 ish, which is damn good for that many bands of that calibre. And if you can share a car you could share petrol money.

And cabs are dirt cheap to and from the venue, so minimises local hassle!

i remember being stuck on the M1 for 9 hrs going up...

Do what we do, and go up the M11, A1, then M62. We've had no trouble at all for the last few years.

I'm there already - going to take my chances on the halls again and on the Leeds fest crowded train - eek!. Do have car and journey is very easy but didnt get any sleep last year cos my room was so bloody cold and dont want to risk driving knackered.
