It's good to have somewhere you can open up. Facebook is way too public and has your real name and photos and everything. Also, who wants to open up on a forum your mother reads?

Agreed! Thought I think I spent more time on lj than I do now on fb, but I think that is probably more an age and spare time factor than the platform

Hello, good to see you.

That's what I love about LJ, I don't like the banality of most FB posts (not aimed at RL friends who post about trips and such! but extended FB friends who just post memes or inane comments). I only log in periodically to check up on what my RL friends are up to (so got to see some of your lovely trip photos, but by no means all, I'm sure.

I'd have forgotten so much that I've written about on LJ, and am kicking myself for putting off so much during my busy study years, will have lost so many Bunny memories.

It's pretty cool to have that record of what my 20 yr old self thought and said. I had never written any sort of diary before Lj

And I'm glad to catch up reading some of your posts! Sounds like you had a nice school holiday break :)

Hi!

Facebook is for mother's who spy on their children, and children to pretend they still use facebook to throw their mother's off their scent...

Lol. That requires too much effort :) My mother has soooo my friends on fb that I think my posts manage to drown in the sea of communication overload.

I hope something interesting and enjoyable comes along quickly on the job front for you.

*Waves* I miss the days when more friends regularly posted to LJ, and feel much less in touch with people as a result.

Fb dosen't give you some of that connection? Though it is more superficial than lj.

I feel like I haven't seen you in ages, S and I will have to come out and go to that archery place one weekend :)

I like FB for photos, but never feel like I have any idea what's going on with a person from reading their FB posts. LJ seemed to encourage people to go into much more detail than just a sentence or two.

Don't even see you in real life either.
