After the night she'd had, Callisto was surprisingly calm when she woke up.

It might have been the drugs, it might have been the need to process an entire lifetime of memories, many of them the kind you'd rather forget.

Or maybe it was just because she was saving the incandescent rage for when she actually got her hands on Logan.

Parker came back after wandering downstairs, and stopped just inside the doorway, carefully closing the door. "You're awake. Good." She studied Callisto. "Are you yourself?"

The tone and cadence and attitude were all back. "No. You look like yourself, as well as everything else." Parker brought over a muffin and offered her mug of coffee. "I'm sorry. Bridge was smarter than I was. Well, more psychic, anyway."
