Yeah, I'm not feeling it for Mewtwo's new form if Gamefreak is planning on using one. I too am tired of new forms.

Agreed. At least when they were giving new forms for new Pokemon I didn't care because a) I didn't really care for them, and b) I hadn't known and loved that Pokemon for years and years. I can't believe they'd do that to a classic. I'm sure all the genwunners will have something to say about this. :P

You look like you could use this.

But for reals, I'm really, really intrigued by it. I totally agree that it is gimmicky as all fuck because if it's a real thing, then God forbid they feature old Pokémon without doing something flashy. On the other hand, I'm really, really interested to see what they do with it, even if it turns out to be a bucket of hilarity. What could you possibly add to Mewtwo, even from a gaming standpoint? Would this change Mewtwo's type like Meloetta's form does? Will it shift his stats like Shaymin? Is it just going to be an aesthetic change with maybe a new move like Genosect? So many possibilities! So many potentially bad ones, but point is, I just want to see what they think could be added to his character.

Yes, thank you. I might have broken my voice had I continued doing it myself.

I feel like I could sit back and just laugh at it from afar if it wasn't a Pokemon I sincerely loved and was emotionally invested in (oh gosh I'm such a dork). Like if it was Celebi, have at it, hoss! But Mewtwo's so awesome on his own - like you said, they couldn't just feature him without a new gimmick?

Whatever they choose to do, I hope it does add something to him, or at the very least doesn't retcon his character entirely. If it ends badly I am going to try very hard to pretend none of this ever happened.

On the plus side, maybe they'll make him a character in Super Smash bros again as a result. XD

I have seen it, and I read Pokebeach's nice analysis of the photos and their legitimacy. I'm hoping they're not real, but I don't want to get my hopes up and end up severely disappointed. Fingers crossed.

And yes. Stop with the formes. Let's do more Kyurem-like combinations instead!
...actually, that would be kind of cool. :x

Kyurem is the new eevee!

My grounds for it not being real is that the design is just too hideous for me to believe anyone could actually endorse. Like, there's bad, and then there's I-fly-to-Japan-and-murder-your-character-designers-GameFreak bad. And on Mewtwo, of all mon? Just no.

Though, granted, my eyes apparently can't really parse what's going up in that picture up there, so I thought the design was even more wtf is this than other people have been interpreting it. Still p. ugly, tho.

I think it just got confirmed.

Though the pictures above don't seem quite the same to me as the stuff in the screenshots from this website, but it seems too close to what the unconfirmed rumor entailed to be a coincidence?

And those pictures weren't all that great anyway.
